The story behind the magic
Miranda, Lobsang
and a dream from Nepal
The story of Himalayan Felt Co begins with Miranda — a woman with a gift for magic in the truest sense. On the Mornington Peninsula in Australia, she opened a shop called Yantra — a wonderland of books, herbs, incenses, crystals, and magical wares.
It was there that Lobsang entered her world. Together, they began making trips to Nepal — and it was on those journeys that they discovered felt. They fell in love with it instantly, and so did their customers. The demand was so great that Miranda and Lobsang took the extraordinary step of opening their own felt factory in Nepal, which they still run today.
What began as one little family — Miranda, Lobsang, and a baby — has grown into three children, a thriving factory, and a community of skilled Nepali women whose work reaches homes all around the world.
It is this factory, and this family, that every Himalayan Magik product comes from. When you hold one of these pieces, you hold a little piece of that whole extraordinary journey.

My Himalayan Magik journey began in Australia when I stumbled across a small, tucked-away shop owned by the Himalayan Felt Co. The moment I stepped through the door, I walked into another world entirely.
Fairies and dragons peered from the shelves. Extraordinary felt creatures filled every corner. Garlands of flowers and beautiful faery pods hung from the ceiling. I had never seen anything like it in my life.
There was something genuinely magical about that place — a quality of enchantment and handmade wonder that felt rare and precious. Standing there, surrounded by it all, I had a single thought: people in the UK need to see this.
That is how Himalayan Magik was born. We are a small, independent UK business carefully curating a collection of felt products made in Nepal — each one shaped by women, their skilled artisan hands using traditions passed down through generations. We source exclusively from Himalayan Felt Co, the very same family whose little Australian shop started all of this.
